About Laborers Local 185

Construction and General Laborers Local 185 is a construction craft union chartered in 1929. Local 185 members work for building contractors, general engineering contractors, specialty subcontractors, and site agreements including plants, factories, and related work sites.

Local 185 officers and representatives are committed to serving the membership by helping secure safe work environments, honest wages for honest work, and a path toward retirement and long-term stability.

Construction craft Laborers are the backbone of the construction industry and are often the first workers in and the last workers out on construction jobs.

Our Community

Laborers Local 185 represents members across twenty counties in Northern California. The Local values employment, fair wages, benefits, safety, quality of life, and community involvement.
